Fisher Price Mirror

If you are one of those mom's (like me) who really wants to know what those kids are doing in the back while your driving this is a wonderful product. I actually have one of those built in mirrors in my mini-van but it doesn't help me see the child right behind me and it isn't all that clear either. So I purchased this mirror because it had the option to clip on to my visor. I absolutely love it! I can see my toddler who is right behind me no problem and it is easy to remove so if I need to take it into another car i just pull it off and take it with me. It is completely inexpensive costing between $5-10

Words from the maker,
"Brica Stay-In-Place Baby Mirror features multiple mounting options. Lever-Lock suction cup secures mirror to rear window to view rear-facing child. Use the visor clip to view forward-facing child. Switch between the visor clip and Lever-Lock suction cup using the simple ball and socket "snap-tight" design."

Airplane Tray covers

Flying with young kids can be hard but here are two ideas to help entertain them and keep the quiet. I made my own versions of travel tray covers which you can find on my other blog, craftyer.blogspot.com Here are some you can buy if you lack time or aren't a crafter

Star Kids Products Air Play Travel Tray, Green $25.00

For babies to young toddler this is a good airplane toy. It has different activities and the best part is they can't drop them since they are attached to the tray cover.

Words from the maker,
"Reduces travel-time stress and covers table surface for good, clean fun! This entertainment center unfolds and fits easily over most airplane tray tables. It?s full of exciting and educational activities. So whether the tray is down or in the upright position, it provides miles of smiles!"

TRAYblecloth Airplane Tray Activity Cover $20
by TravelSmiles/LovetoTravelProducts

Ok so I made my own version of an airplane tray cover and it was so wonderful! It really makes the flight less stressful if you have everything out within reach, but yet it is organized. That way you aren't trying to dig through bags, keep the kids quiet, hold a baby at the same time. If you want to buy one then this seems like a really good one.

Words from the maker,
"Child's airplane tray cover that provides a clean tray surface and a changeable game window. Front pockets provide a place to store colorful markers, as well as other small personal items that you want to keep handy during flight.
Stretchy mesh pocket gives you a place for larger items such as iPad, book, or a special toy. Changeable game window to insert different game sheets, instantly converting tray surface into a game board or whiteboard. Free, downloadable game sheets on the TravelSmiles website. Gamesheets can be used over and over again."

Fisher-Price Peek-a-Boo Choo-Choo

CHOO-CHOO! What a fun little toy to help your little one learn the forward and backward motion of veichals. This great Choo-choo train has a fun handle for little hands to push, lights and music and little blocks that have fun faces that go up and down with the movement of the train. Both my baby and my toddler love this train and enjoy dancing along with the music. Since we are train crazy in our house this is a must. And around $25 it was a good Christmas gift. Nothing but 5 stars *****

Words from the makers,
"This choo choo takes building to a whole new level with fun songs, lights and peek-a-boo train car action. Four pop up blocks go along for the ride and are included with the train. Baby can stack the blocks on any of the four building surfaces atop the train. The large handle allows baby to easily grab and push the train along. When they do, the rear train car comes to life with a pop up action where the building bumps and the blocks when stacked, pop into motion. Each block and building surface has fun faces that play peek-a-boo with baby as they play."

Butterfly In a Jar

No I am not just showing you a beautiful butterfly that I caught, this is a toy.
OK so what kind of kid doesn't want to keep a bug in his room. I know my boys love it. This fun toy lets them do that plus it won't die either (which is awesome). The butterfly is inside a glass jar that looks like an old canning jar my grandma would put peaches in. If you tap the top then the butterfly comes to life and starts flying around. It makes that cool wings hitting the jar sound just like a real bug. The butterfly will flutter around and flap its wings according to the amount taps you do on the lid. Over all an fun toy and I have to admit if you aren't right up close to it you would swear it was real and for around $15 it is totally cool.
Totally Nothing but 5 stars *****

Words from the maker,
"The Butterfly in a Jar is a realistic butterfly toy that flutters around in a jar!
The Glass Butterfly Jar measures approx 17 cm x 9.5 cm x 9.5 cm

Bright Starts Hop Along Carrier Toy Bar - Neutral

This toy has been loved by both my little ones and has saved me for screaming fits in the car. It is a wonderful way to entertain and distract them while driving around for daily errands. This toy has been a life saver for me. I used it with my first child to move across the country and then my second for daily trips since he hated his car seat and would do nothing but scream once he was in it. It is fairly inexpensive, about $10 or less, and lasts a decent about of time. The frog plays music when his eye (the button)is touch. And the music isn't to annoying either. My 6 month old loves the music and will sit with his hand on the button and push it over and over again. I absolutely love this toy and give it
Nothin but 5 stars *****

Words from the maker,
"Bright Starts Hop Along Carrier Toy Bar comes with entertaining toy bar provides multiple activities for babies on the run. This friendly frog toy features baby activated lights, three melodies, colorful texture beads, spinning paddle mirror and spinning rattle ball. This straps easily to strollers carriers and more."

Car Seat Tray

The Star Kids Snack & Play Travel Tray provides a sturdy surface for travel treats and toys. Every parent has been has been through one of those times when a child drops a toy, snack or crayon and then starts crying because you can't get it for them right away, do to the fact that you are driving. So you have to stop the car or reach behind to get the items your child wants. But with this travel tray it makes life a little easier by providing a flat, safe area for your child to eat and play. It fits both our car seats, booster seats and our friends who have borrowed them to try them out. It has even fit on our stroller. It really is a good thing to have it you are in the car a lot with your kids or are taking a long trip. Thats why I would give it Nothing but 5 stars *****

Words from the maker,
"Made of soft, durable, 100 percent nylon with soft foam reinforcement that folds on impact, the tray buckles around your child, car seat, or stroller. The Travel Tray is built with two large side pockets conveniently located within easy reach, as well as a two-inch wall to stop toys or food from falling off. Easy and safe to use, it is also washable. "

REV UPS by Hotwheels

These Hotwheels cars aren't just any car. These cars have big wheels fun colors and can climb metal surfaces. Though they are a little pricey my boys just love them. They are fun cars that can drive on almost any surface (that we have tried) plus climb up and down the fridge. How cool! Just give them a little push and off it goes. This is a great tool to teach about magnets and metals. Teaching kids by experimenting which surfaces the car will drive up. My 3 year old loves it and it is a great distraction for him while mommy is making dinner or washing dishes. They seem to hold up well to crashes and falls from the top of the fridge. No broken parts or issues so far. At $5-$15 each they are pricey but are totally cool and if it will help me get dishes done then it is worth it. I am not going to by a ton of this but a few will keep my two little ones busy for a while.
So that is why I will give nothing but 5 stars *****

Words from HotWheels,
"This Hot Wheels Rev Ups "Fast Fish" toy vehicle can stick to steel surfaces and climb horizontally, vertically and even upside-down! Rev up these 1:64 scale cars, place them on any steel surface-refrigerators, filing cabinets, etc.-and watch 'em go...and go...and go!"

EZ Bed- Cars

Got this for our big moving/vacation trip for my sons. One for each boy and they are excited to use them. Upon getting them we of course opened and tried them out. I purchased this for $29.99 on sale at JCPenney's website. I choose JCPenney's over other stores because it came with the airbed, sleeping bag, storage bag and a (foot) air pump. Or you could get the same for close to the same price at Walmart but you won't get the storage bag or the pump. It took about 25 minutes to inflate but that was because my 3 year old had to do it himself. I am sure an adult could do it in 10 or less minutes. My son loved it and slept in it all night. My son moves alot in his sleep so he did roll over the air mattress but stayed in the sleeping bag. But then I placed the bed against the wall with his dresser on the other side and it was better. I love the fact that the bag is washable since my son (who is still potty training) had an accident in it. All we had to do is take off the sleeping bag and place it in the washer. Wonderful feature! We will see how they really hold up to his moving when we use them on our trip. It's not perfect but seems to work so I will give it high marks. If it had bumpers I would get it 5 but as is it gets 4.
So far overall I would give this 4 Stars ****

Words from JCPenney's website,
"A Disney® inflatable airbed designed just for him is super-cool for sleepovers, overnight stays at Grandma's, camping and more.
easy-to-inflate comfortable airbed with built-in pillow; slip-on cover with attached zippered sleeping bag is removable for laundering
choice of Cars or Toy Story graphics
deflates easily for compact storage; includes storage bag and foot bellows pump
Inflates to 33x60x6"H. Airbed is phthalate-free polyvinyl; wipe clean with warm, damp cloth. Sleeping bag is washable polyester."

Baby Car Mirror-Rear-facing

This was is a absolute must for me. I need to see what my little rear-facing baby is doing or why he is screaming, otherwise I feel like I need to pullover every time the baby would start crying. But with this wonderful mirror I can see wheiter or not the baby is really upset or just lost his pacifier. The best part about it is it straps right onto the headrest of the seat that the baby seat is in. Don't have a head rest...don't worry it comes with hooks so that you can put place it in a cars back window area. It is nice and big so you can actually see the baby and all you have to do is look in your rear view mirror in your car to check on your baby. Absolutely wonderful!
This mirror is nothing but 5 stars *****

Word from OneStepAhead,
"extra-large safety mirror allows you to keep tabs on your rear-facing infant...without taking your eyes off the road. And because this shatterproof mirror is 50% larger than other models, it allows you a more complete view of baby. Straps easily to the back seat or headrest of cars, vans, and SUVs. 12"W x 8¾"H."

Boppy Pillow

I have to admit I was skeptical about this when it first came out and thought it was another of those over priced items that really wouldn't be useful. But than my neighbor gave me hers after she found out I was pregnant with my second child. I thanked her but thought it would just sit in the closet. Turns out it really is an over priced pillow....but an awesome one at that. I absolutely love my boppy and wished that I had it with my first. This thing saves your arms (which are already tired from holding a baby 24/7) while nursing or bottle feeding. When your infant is a little older it also puts your baby at an angle so they don't have to be flat all the time. Plus is a great tummy support pillow for the babies who hate being on there tummy like mine did. So for me the Boppy is nothin but 5 stars ***** (just wished I would have learned that early)

Words from Boppy,
"The Boppy pillow supports a comfortable nursing position while relieving muscle strain and C-section discomfort. Not only does this crescent-shaped pillow provide support to you, but also props up baby to reduces reflux symptoms. When your child grows they can use this pillow to support sitting, lounging and tummy exercising."

Pacifier

This old school favorites are still a favorite for me and my kids. Both my boys has loved these latex NUK pacifiers from Gerber. These are wonderful because they sooth and help newborns learn to suck. Which any nursing mother knows is important that each little one learns correctly. So out of all the pacifiers these are definitely five stars *****
Words from Gerber,
"The original NUK Orthodontic Pacifier is a #1 best seller. The orthodontic nipples are made of soft latex, and the shield colors are classic 'baby friendly' pastels.

Features
* Encourages healthy oral development while satisfying natural sucking desire.
* Designed to be similar in shape to a mother's nipple during breastfeeding.
* NUK Air System allows baglet to conform to baby's mouth."
